THE 13TH ANNUAL ROASTERS
CHICKEN RUN IS BACK!
In its 13th
consecutive year running, the annual ROASTERS Chicken Run (RCR) by Kenny Rogers
ROASTERS (KRR) is back! The KRR family who are strong advocates of an active
and healthy lifestyle is inviting all to shed the calories and simultaneously
contribute back to the community.
Happening at Berjaya
Times Square on 16th July 2017 (Sunday) from 7:00am onwards,
participants will be running a pre-designated route of 5km (for runners aged 13
and above) or 2km (for runners ages 7 to 12 years old).
What sets it apart from
other runs is that participants are required to balance an egg on a cone and
make it to the finishing line without breaking the egg to be entitled to win
attractive prizes!
“The proceeds from RCR’s
signups will be contributed to Food Aid Foundation, a non-profit organisation
which acts as a food bank to provide basic food to charitable homes nationwide
including rehabilitation and feeding centres and also poor families,” quoted Esther
Woo, Deputy General Manager of Berjaya ROASTERS (M) Sdn. Bhd. &
Chairperson for ROASTERS Chicken Run 2017.
“Our humble collaboration
with Food Aid has allowed us to reach out to the larger public, totaling up to
about RM 660,000 food donations nationwide to date. KRR is honoured to be on
this journey with the foundation with this being the 3rd year of our
partnership. We are eager to go beyond and continuously provide simple yet
meaningful necessities to those in need. Keeping strong to our values as
advocates of health and nutrition, we look forward to instill the importance of
having wholesome meals and educate the public to live an active and healthy
lifestyle,” she added.
Participants will enjoy
an early bird promotion at RM 65 for adults, RM 50 for children aged 7 to 12
years old when you sign up before 23rd May 2017! Normal participation
fee is RM 70 for adults and RM 55 for children aged 7 to 12 years old. Registered
participants will be provided with freebies worth more than RM100 including an
exclusive ROASTERS Chicken Run T-shirt, Berjaya Times Square Theme Park
entrance wristband, goodie bag, finisher’s medal and e-cert!
The ROASTERS Chicken Run
2017 is co-organised by Berjaya Times Square, Berjaya Time Square Theme Park
with Ultron as its supporting partner. Other supporting partners who make this
run possible are 100 Plus, RockTape, Salonpas, Nestle, Milo, Super Asia (SAE),
Watsons, Sports Toto Fitness Centre, Cosway, Berjaya Hotels & Resorts,
Starbucks, Unilever, and Campbell’s.
Following its 2nd year in partnership with Food Aid
Foundation, KRR has reached out to 35 homes and organisations and contributed a
total of 3,340 wholesome KRR meals between July 2015 to March 2017. KRR extends
their helping hand to the needy by providing them with nutritious meals as well
as donating funds to various organisations through Food Aid Foundation. The
contribution by KRR to Food Aid Foundation also allows free entry for children
from homes and organisations to participate in RCR events.
