Seven autistic, gifted children participated in a fun, creative workshop producing spectacular artwork that kickstarted the exclusive community project, Autism RuL3s Fashion - powered by gifted minds, at Autism Resources Malaysia in late January 2019. Autism RuL3s Fashion - powered by gifted minds event is a prelude to World Autism Awareness Day on 2nd April 2019.

Autism RuL3s Fashion - powered by gifted minds is, inherently, a project that combines art with fashion. Jayakumar or Jay as he’s fondly known in the fashion industry, who is also the official associate of PERSAMA-2gether4autism, draws upon his experiences working with autism projects and utilises his passion for art and fashion as a platform to create awareness about autism among children.

The art workshop – facilitated by Thila Laxshman of PERSAMA-2gether4autism- brought out each participant’s creativity with vibrant strokes, splashes and abstract patterns. The children aged between 7 to 18 - let their imagination soar under Thila Laxshman’s project for the B40 families with autistic children, experimenting with colours and expressing themselves artistically. This group of children has recently completed a 6-month art therapy program – highly encouraged for children with autism as art calms the active mind and increases focus and attention.

Tickets for the event are sold at RM100 per pax inclusive of hi-tea, fashion show & premium sales with VIP seats sold at RM200 per pax.

The Kid From The Big Apple Held its Official Original Soundtrack Launch

Three Pictures Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian award-winning production company renowned for the 2016 hit film, The Kid From The Big Apple, held its official original soundtrack launch recently at Setiawalk, Puchong. This makes them the first in the nation to execute such a concept of having an album launch specifically for a film.  The newly released album consist of a compilation of the theme songs, background scores and other audio tracks in Mandarin and English. These songs are from both the first film as well as the upcoming sequel, which is set to hit cinemas nationwide on November 16, 2017, followed by other countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.  Titled “Togetherness,” the album gives fans a unique chance of hearing a preview of the songs in the upcoming sequel as well as reliving some of the hit songs from the first film.
