Cartoon Network Programming Highlights - August 2019

This August, Cartoon Network (Astro Channel 616) will airing the brand new special We Bare Bears episode on 9 August, Friday @ 9am. During this episode, Panda may finally get to meet his favourite K-pop band, Monsta X! The channel will also be premiering it’s brand new supernatural adventure series, Victor and Valentino on 25 August and will air every Sunday @ 6.30pm. Inspired by a fascination with mythology, this latest Cartoon Network original features authentic storytelling with inclusive characters.
Summer is never with new special episodes of Summer Camp Island starting from 23 August, Friday @ 7pm, Steven Universe on Sundays @ 11am, starting from 18 & 25 August and Unikitty every Fridays @ 6.30pm from 16 August to 27 September.

The Amazing World of Gumball is set to air brand new episodes the fun-loving and mischievous 12-year-old blue cat, together with his family and best friend Darwin, head up hilarious adventures in school and across town. They believe they've turned Ms Simian into a neck-cushion after some strange coincidences begin to occur forcing them to go on an investigative mission. Families can tune in on Fridays @ 5pm, from 23 August to 27 September to catch these brand new episodes.

While spending the summer with their Grandma Chata, the rambunctious Victor and his more cautious half-brother Valentino soon realize there’s more than meets the eye in their new town. The mischievous pair hilariously discover other worldly beings, curious creatures from forgotten folklore and places only described in myths.

Set in a mystical world, Summer Camp Island follows best friends, Oscar and Hedgehog, as they are dropped in to a surreal camp for the Summer.

In these brand-new episodes, Oscar and Hedgehog must learn to exist without each other when they are put on different teams during a scavenger hunt.
Hedgehog’s magical encounters reach new heights as she finds a city under her bed while looking for her missing diary. She also struggles with staying focused on her magic as she develops a new crush which is consuming her every waking thought.
Oscar delves in to his own mission of trying to find a special sandwich for Hedgehog to save their friendship. He also goes on a journey of self-discovery once he realizes his painting is unpopular among the rest of the campers.
STEVEN UNIVERSE | Brand New Specials
Starts 18 & 25 August, Sundays 11am

Follow Steven Universe on his magical adventure this August. Steven travels to visit his family. With many changes going on in his life, Steven tries to find his place in the world. Steven throws a party to bring his family together. Steven uses his psychic powers to find help. Steven faces his biggest challenge yet.
UNIKITTY | New Episodes

As ruler of the kingdom, Unikitty has busy days full of royal responsibilities. Unikitty is most interested in making sure everyone is happy and ridding the kingdom of negativity, but don’t misunderstand her optimism – she is one kitty not to be crossed. While she may be full of boundless energy and creativity, Unikitty is a force to be reckoned with if anyone gets in the way of spreading her positive vibes, especially if anyone makes her little brother and best friend, Puppycorn, sad.

This month, Gumball and Darwin believe they've turned Ms Simian into a neck-cushion after some strange coincidences begin to occur forcing them to go on an investigative mission. Gumball accidentally shrinks Hector with a magic potion and is forced to figure his way out of the tiny problem.

The amazing adventures are set to continue this August on Cartoon Network.

The Kid From The Big Apple Held its Official Original Soundtrack Launch

Three Pictures Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian award-winning production company renowned for the 2016 hit film, The Kid From The Big Apple, held its official original soundtrack launch recently at Setiawalk, Puchong. This makes them the first in the nation to execute such a concept of having an album launch specifically for a film.  The newly released album consist of a compilation of the theme songs, background scores and other audio tracks in Mandarin and English. These songs are from both the first film as well as the upcoming sequel, which is set to hit cinemas nationwide on November 16, 2017, followed by other countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.  Titled “Togetherness,” the album gives fans a unique chance of hearing a preview of the songs in the upcoming sequel as well as reliving some of the hit songs from the first film.
