IPC Shopping Centre Introduces “Lagom Life” — A Fresh, Balanced Way to Shop, Eat & Connect

“Just Right” Day at IPC Shopping Centre – Living the Lagom Life!

As a 22-year-old juggling uni, part-time work, and maintaining some sense of balance (hello burnout 🥲), finding a place where I can chill, shop, eat, and do something creative in one trip is a total win. That’s why IPC Shopping Centre and their Lagom Life vibe really hit different for me.

Inspired by the Swedish concept of lagom — “not too much, not too little” — IPC seriously gets the assignment when it comes to balanced living. Whether I’m hanging out solo, on a coffee run with friends, or spending quality time with my siblings, IPC has become my go-to chill spot.

🛍️ Shopping Made Fun, Not Stressful

One thing I love is how the mall isn’t overwhelming. I can swing by MR.DIY Plus, grab a few essentials at Ben’s Independent Grocer, then sneak in a coffee break. They even have work pods — perfect for replying to emails or editing reels on the go! Meanwhile, my younger siblings love popping into Popular Bookstore or checking out the toy shops.

🍱 Lunch @ Hana Japanese Dining
I had the best lunch at Hana Japanese Dining! The Spicy Chicken Karaage was crispy and super flavourful, and the Daikon Foie Gras? So smooth and fancy-feeling. The Una Maguro roll was fresh and savoury, and the Crispy Chicken Mantou with Mala Mayo was a spicy bomb in the best way. I also tried the Inaniwa Udon (Hot) — comfort food vibes!

Ended on a sweet note with Mango Pomelo dessert and refreshing drinks like “Rebina Lychee” and “Mint To Be”. 10/10 would go again. ✨

💺 Interior Inspo at King Living

King Living was such a cool surprise. I got a tour from their team and they explained everything so well — from custom sofa setups to hidden USB ports, adjustable headrests, and sleek designs. Perfect for when I finally move into my dream condo (speaking it into existence!).

🛏️⚡ Home Goals Tour at Harvey Norman

Didn’t expect to be that into furniture, but wow — the two-storey Harvey Norman store is next-level. Their bedding section was super comfy to test out, and we even tried adjustable smart beds!

In the electrical section, the rep broke down all the tech (kitchen stuff, air purifiers, smart home systems) in simple terms — no tech overload. Great for first-time renters or anyone setting up their first space.

💅 Self-Care Stop at Cutiecle The Nail Experts

I made a quick stop at Cutiecle, and it turned out to be the perfect little beauty break. Clean, calming space and tons of trendy gel polish colours to choose from. The staff were gentle and professional — it honestly felt like a mini therapy session for my hands 💅. Great pit-stop between shopping rounds.

🎨 DIY Fun at Good Times Studio

I joined a pottery painting session at Good Times DIY Studio and it was such a creative escape. We picked from a variety of pre-made ceramics (mugs, mini planters, cute trays), and painted them using high-quality glazes. The studio was cozy, with soft music and helpful staff, but also chill enough to just vibe and paint at your own pace.

No art skills needed — just pure creative joy! And you get to pick up your glazed piece later as a cute memory or gift.

♻️ Sustainable Girl Era Activated

IPC’s Recycling & Buy-Back Centre (RBBC) is honestly so cool. I brought along some e-waste and plastic, and the process was super smooth. You can scan, drop, and even earn Tack Club points for rewards.
They also have weekend eco-workshops that are fun for all ages — love that they’re making sustainability a whole vibe and not a chore.

🔌 Charging Up in Style

Also love that IPC is EV-ready, including Tesla chargers (coming soon!). Parking is easy too, which is a huge plus when you’re on the move.

Okay, I have to share this — I recently got the IPC Daycation Value e-Pass, and it was honestly such a good deal, I couldn’t keep it to myself!

IPC Daycation Value e-Pass!

For just RM120, you get RM200 worth of vouchers to use around IPC. That’s RM80 in bonus value?! As someone who loves a good day out and a good bargain, this was right up my alley. 😍

💛 Final Thoughts

Living the Lagom Life at IPC feels like finally breathing out after a hectic week. Everything I need — from food, self-care, and shopping, to creative outlets — is all in one spot, without the chaos of a massive mall.

Whether I’m hanging with my siblings, having a solo recharge day, or just running errands, IPC makes it all feel “just right”. Definitely one of my top favs now 💖
