Vivo is Malaysia’s Most Loved Smartphone Brand

2019 Marks its Fifth Year in the Market In a recent article published by trade industry portal Advertising & Marketing, Socialbakers, an analytics agency has ranked Vivo as the most loved smartphone brand by Malaysians with 6,514,169 interactions and 91,069 love reactions on Facebook. According to analytics agency, the brand has been getting a lot of love because Vivo uses highly visual images for its content and are selling beautiful devices so the visual nature of social media makes it the perfect place to showcase its products and engage Malaysians. In a statement to A+M, Charles Tidswell, Vice President JAPAC of Socialbakers said the company saw brands getting more love on social media last year than in 2017. Valentine’s Day is over but the Chinese community celebrates Chap Goh Mei (Chinese Valentine’s Day) today. In conjunction with the month of love, Carousell Malaysia launched a campaign, #MakeSpaceForLove, to encourage Malaysians to let go and sell their ex’s items of its marketplace. “Decluttering your ex’s items is one of the most effective ways to move on from a failed relationship and find something better for yourself. We expect that more Malaysians will follow suit to make space for new love,” said Tang Siew Wai, Country Head of Carousell Malaysia. Last year, 5,733 Malaysians transacted on the classifieds marketplace during Valentine’s Day and that number has increased by 15% to 6,596 transactions this year. Malaysians love Valentine’s Day - OYO’s Love Index 2019 records a whooping 613% increase in bookings

While couples top the list in terms of bookings, there is a significant increase in friends and family bookings too Valentine’s Day is no longer limited to the celebration of love between couples, but has increasingly become an opportunity for friends and families to bond and connect as per the Valentine’s Day booking statistics revealed by OYO, South Asia’s largest and the world’s fastest-growing chain of hotels, homes, and spaces. OYO’s Love Index 2019 revealed that bookings have seen a 613% increase so far as compared to the same period last year.
