‘SONGS OF SPRING’ CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION AT KWC FASHION WHOLESALE

KWC welcomes you to celebrate Chinese New Year together with this year’s theme, ‘Songs of Spring.’ From January 19th to February 28th, shoppers at KWC will get to participate in many traditional Chinese New Year activities in a culturally enriched atmosphere.
This year, shoppers can take part in the centuries-old custom of making a wish on the Wishing Tree. KWC has replicated a Wishing Tree at the main entrances, where shoppers can write down their wishes on red ribbons and tie them to the Wishing Tree. In Chinese culture, the color red symbolizes good luck and joy. According to legend, those who tie a red ribbon to the Wishing Tree have a chance to see their wish come true!

After making a wish at the Wishing Tree, shoppers can stroll around and enjoy the cultural ambiance as KWC will be decorated with many Spring-time flowers, lanterns and other ornaments that will take you back in time to the traditional Chinese courtyard garden. Each weekend throughout the campaign, traditional performances will complement the Spring-time scenery, setting the mood for a memorable Chinese New Year celebration.  

Shoppers will surely not want to miss the highlight of the Spring Festival, the powerful Dragon Dance performance held at the main entrance on Sunday, February 11th at 3:00PM. Onlookers can catch the beginning of the performance at the main entrance, and then follow along as the two 90 foot-long dragons gracefully dance into the mall. The Dragon Dance is traditionally performed during the Chinese New Year to bring about good luck and auspiciousness.

Shoppers with children may also participate in the Kiddies Handicraft Workshop, where the little ones can have a first-hand experience in creating specially-themed handicrafts to bring home as a souvenir.

Shoppers who spend RM588 and above (combined three receipts) in the mall are entitled to redeem a traditional Chinese tea set and a set of Red Packets, while shoppers who spend RM88 and above (one receipt) may redeem a single set of Red Packets. Terms & Conditions apply.

The Kid From The Big Apple Held its Official Original Soundtrack Launch

Three Pictures Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian award-winning production company renowned for the 2016 hit film, The Kid From The Big Apple, held its official original soundtrack launch recently at Setiawalk, Puchong. This makes them the first in the nation to execute such a concept of having an album launch specifically for a film.  The newly released album consist of a compilation of the theme songs, background scores and other audio tracks in Mandarin and English. These songs are from both the first film as well as the upcoming sequel, which is set to hit cinemas nationwide on November 16, 2017, followed by other countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.  Titled “Togetherness,” the album gives fans a unique chance of hearing a preview of the songs in the upcoming sequel as well as reliving some of the hit songs from the first film.
