Buffet Ramadhan at Bangi Golf Resort
Last weekend, I accepted the invitation to attend Ramadhan food review at Bangi Golf Resort. This is my 2nd times here but before the review start, we were brought to visit their Farm Resort. At the Farm Resort, BGR has set up a Durian Runtuh Party to all the media, influencers and invited guests.
Durian grade D24 was served to us. It is delicious and we had enjoyed ourselves with the durian at their Farm Resort. BGR will be taking orders for Musang King at RM110/box and D24 durians at RM55/box from guests who wishes to purchase durians for Iftar and Hari Raya. Pre-ordering can be done via https://www.bgrrest.com/product/durian.
After the durian party, we went back to the resort by their shuttle van for the Buffet Ramadhan. BGR will be having their Buffet Ramadhan from 19 May 2018 to 13 June 2018. Their signature dishes include Kambing Bakar (lamb slow-roasted on the spot) and Sup Kambing Mamak (Indian style Mutton Stew). At this station, Chefs will serve up portions of freshly carved roast lamb and piping hot bowls of button stew to warm our stomach.
Their freshly grilled Beef & Chicken Satay as well as wok-fried Fried Kway Teow and Fried Mee Mamak is a must to try food on that day.
BGR had produce grown their very own "Farm in the City" at their Farm Resort. The Chefs will be harvesting organic vegetables and serve them during Buffet Ramadhan, providing guests with a unique "farm to fork" dining experience. Their 'Nasi Kerabu', a rice dish served with home grown ulam (raw vegetables and herbs), fried salted fish, fish crackers and a selection of garnishing. The natural blue colour of the Nasi Kerabu is actually comes from the petals of bunga telang (a blue flower) grown in their farm. No wonder the rice taste delicious as compare the rice that we usually took.
The new addition for year is the. Sarawak Laksa and Singapore Laksa which is made from scratch to tantalise our taste bud.
Modern Western Dishes at BGR Restaurant include their feature dishes with a gastronomic touch such as Sous Vide Eggs with Mushroom Espuma, Chicken Lasagna and Spaghetti Carbonara which are always a family favourite.
Perfectly prepared using the latest technology in its menu creation for Oriental Cuisine, BGR Restaurant had prepared Hainanese Chicken Rice. Each piece of the chicken is cooked just to the point of doness, giving them a succulent texture. The fluffy grains of rice are enriched with rendered chicken fat, leaving them glistening and flavourful. Do look out also their Black Pepper beef and their popular new creation of Deep Fried Fish Fillet with Golden Butter Sauce.
Another reason on why I enjoy Iftar during Ramadhan at Bangi Golf Restaurant is for the Dessert Galore. It is a must to try with favourites such as the Spanish Churros with Thick Chocolate Sauce, signature Italian Tiramisu, a selection of homemade Malay kuih as well as variety of puddings, agar-agar and tropical fruits. Not to forget their Freshly Churned Gelato in the unique flavours of Durian and Bunga Kantan.
A new creations such as Salted Caramel Brownies, Pina Colada Cheese Cake, Bandung Lychee Cheese Cake, Blueberry Creme Brulee Cake, The Patissier Mocha Fudge Cake, Talas Saled Corn, Red Velvet Durian Mousse in-a-cup, Pandan Gula Melaka Mousse in-a-cup and Cendol Mousse in-a-cup were added in this year.
