EARTH HOUR AT LOST WORLD OF TAMBUN

~First man-made Marmoset Island made of recyclable items~

As a part of Sunway Lost World Of Tambun’s commitment to the Planet Earth, the theme park took part in the Earth Hour initiative by showing tremendous effort to support the climate change policy. This year’s Earth Hour falls on 30th March 2019 in conjunction with the school holidays.
Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) which started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007. This movement engaged cities and towns globally by uniting people to conserve energy.

During Earth Hour this year, Lost World Of Tambun delightedly launch the first man-made Marmoset Island created using recyclable items such as Styrofoam pieces and plastic bottles.

Nurul Nuzairi Mohd Azahari, General Manager of Lost World Of Tambun said, “Participating in Earth Hour’s initiative is something special to us this year as it aligned with our vision and mission towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). We feel the responsibility to educate the public on the importance of reducing waste and believe that Earth Hour creates awareness on the many ways we can protect this living space of ours before it becomes a sphere of plastic.”
