The Curve Shares the Joys of Bubur Lambuk with Mutiara Damansara Community
With Ramadan being the time for reflection and togetherness, the Curve, owned and managed by Boustead Curve Sdn Bhd, a Boustead Properties Berhad wholly-owned company, shared the spirit of the fasting month through the humble bubur lambuk, commonly seen as a symbol of goodwill and caring.
The shopping mall was joined by Adabi Consumer Industries Sdn Bhd
(Adabi) in the bubur lambuk preparation. The traditional dish, based on a
recipe by Adabi's own Chef Irwan Mohd Nor, was prepared and distributed by a
team comprising Adabi and the Curve management and staff.
About 1,200 individually packed containers of bubur lambuk were handed out to representatives of Surau Mutiara
Damansara, Mutiara Damansara Police Station, Damansara Police Station, and the
Curve shoppers for iftar as part of the mall’s community outreach efforts. In
addition, bubur lambuk, along with groceries and Duit Raya were
given to a group of less-privileged children and caretakers residing at Pusat
Jagaan Kasih Harapan Kota Damansara by the Curve and Adabi management.
Distribution was conducted with careful adherence to
ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 regulations.
Jazmi Kamarudin, Senior General Manager, Property Management & Investment of Boustead Properties, said that bubur lambuk is a beloved Ramadan tradition in Malaysia and the Curve was excited to be able to carry out the preparation jointly with Adabi, which sponsored all ingredients and preparation of the bubur lambuk.
He commented: “One of the best ways to celebrate the peaceful and
compassionate spirit of Ramadan is by sharing sustenance with others for the
breaking of fast. In these challenging times, we are grateful to be able to
still come together and make a difference in the community we are a part of
through our humble offering this year.”
Shoppers can also enjoy the specially-choreographed ‘Sensasi Raya’ musical performance, twice a day at 2.00pm and 5.30pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays. The much-anticipated performance has returned after a year of absence due to movement restrictions in the country. There will also be live instrumental music themed Senandung Raya, at 8.30pm from Fridays to Sundays and Public Holidays. All activities at the Curve are in keeping with MCO 2.0 standard operating procedures to ensure public safety remains a priority.
