F&B Outlets at the Curve Spring Back to Life with Close to 100% Vaccinated Staff

Worry-free, contactless parking with Touch ‘n Go PayDirect

Food and beverage outlets at the Curve have reopened their doors to patrons as the shopping mall springs back to life following announcements on the Klang Valley moving into Phase Three of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).

With restrictions eased progressively under the NRP, the F&B outlets at the Street at the Curve are now operating with close to 100% fully vaccinated staff as dine-in customers are welcomed back at the country’s first pedestrianized mall.

Jazmi Kamarudin, Senior General Manager, Property Management & Investment of Boustead Properties Berhad, said, “With the Street being the heart and soul of our mall where people from all walks of life gather, our tenants are most excited to reopen fully and get back to serving the community. F&B tenants especially understand the value and importance of having fully vaccinated staff and are taking strict safety precautions. Even as we work towards fully reopening the mall in time to come, we will continue protecting lives and livelihoods responsibly as we get through this pandemic together.”

After months of lockdown, the Street is abuzz with activity, with the outlets sweetening the dine-in experience with various offerings for those customers who are eager to reconnect with family and friends at their favourite dining spots. Home for the past 17 years to a string of popular restaurants and eateries, the Street has been catering to Malaysians’ every food passion, be it local or international, sweet or savoury.

Mall patrons can also pay for parking in a hassle-free way. While the contactless Touch ‘n Go card was already a mode of payment at its carpark, the Curve now provides PayDirect, an e-Wallet feature for the Touch ‘n Go card, for a safer and more convenient parking experience.

With the PayDirect feature, shoppers entering the Curve carpark need not worry about having sufficient balance in their physical Touch ‘n Go card. To activate PayDirect, users just need to link their Touch ‘n Go cards to the Touch ‘n Go e-Wallet. Once activated, parking fees will be automatically deducted from the e-Wallet balance when the card is used. Those without the e-Wallet feature can still use their Touch ‘n Go card as long as the balance is RM10 and above.

Jazmi added, “Now more than ever, contactless amenities will contribute towards maintaining a safe environment for the public. It made sense for us to introduce PayDirect which limits unnecessary contact and keeps the Curve abreast with changing technology in this increasingly digital era we are living in. Such digital features are also very much in line with the Boustead Group’s Reinventing Boustead strategy which emphasizes the need to elevate our business through people-friendly technology innovation.”

Understanding the tenants’ earlier hardships, the Curve Management had in the previous phase of lockdown rolled out various initiatives to show solidarity with its tenants, ranging from a GrabFood promo that gave customers RM8 off for every food order placed to free parking for tenants and the public alike.

Safety of tenants, staff and customers continues to be a priority with strict standard operating procedures maintained at the various entrance entry points.

In addition, all other retail outlets have reopened. the Curve continues to observe the new SOPs, which includes dining in only allowed for fully vaccinated customers. Customers are required to show their digital vaccination certificate and a MySejahtera profile that is either Low Risk or Casual Contact with No Symptoms. Children under the age of 17 are now allowed to enter the premises as long as both parents are fully vaccinated.
